What is Levia®?

 

Psoriasis sufferers now have a real reason to feel optimistic. Professional Targeted Phototerapy is a new professional light
therapy with clinically proven ultraviolet B (UVB) Light. Levia is the first Professional Targeted Phototherapy (PTP) device for treatment of itchy, scaly, psoriatic plaques.  Under professional care, Levia enables patients to treat their small area and scalp psoriasis with therapeutic ultraviolet B light. Levia’s proprietary beam delivery systems enable precise, fast and safe treatment giving patients an effective non-drug option.

Levia consist of a console, which includes a calibration port and a touch screen control panel, and an ergonomic Handpiece, about the size of a hair dryer, which houses the proprietary Levia UVB light engine. Two interchangeable beam delivery attachments – Levia LightBrush and Levia LiteSpot – fit into the Handpiece to deliver targeted phototherapy precisely to the affected areas of the scalp and skin respectively.

Psoriasis remains a chronic, incurable disease, but for many sufferers it can now be managed into remission with Levia.

- Maximum effectiveness in treating psoriasis is in the spectral band of 296-320nm*
